In collaboration with the World Bank, the Ministry of Industry and Technology has launched the “Socially Inclusive Green Transition (SoGreen) Project” with a budget of $400 million. This initiative aims to support inclusive green transformation efforts across Turkey’s 81 provinces, focusing on women, young entrepreneurs, and SMEs. By creating new job opportunities and enhancing social welfare, the project is set to play a significant role in Turkey’s local development goals.

SoGreen: Social Inclusion for a Green Future
According to Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, the SoGreen Project not only supports green transformation but also seeks to enhance societal well-being. Coordinated by 26 regional development agencies, the project focuses on several key areas:
• Job Creation: Generating inclusive job opportunities.
• Support for Women and Young Entrepreneurs: The project will provide funding and guidance to 2,000 women and young entrepreneurs, alongside 1,150 micro-entrepreneurs.
• SME Transformation: Empowering 1,810 SMEs to achieve their green transformation goals.
